The TOUR Academy Junior Camp at Nicklaus North Golf Course offers campers a chance to play one of Jack Nicklaus’ unique designs. They have first class practice facilities with grass tee driving range and a group of CPGA professionals ready to help golfers of all levels improve.
Nicklaus North Golf Course
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, this course is set along a brilliant emerald-coloured lake, majestic fir trees, and fresh, invigorating mountain air. This is the setting that inspired the great Jack Nicklaus to create a course as unique as himself. This par 71, 18-hole course winds along a gentle valley floor offering you a spectacular setting as your golfing skills are tested to the fullest. During the week, campers are housed at the Crystal Lodge, located in Whistler Village.
Camp Director
Directing the camp is Graham Kehoe, Director of Instruction at Nicklaus North Golf Course. A 'Class A' member of the PGA of Canada, Director of Instruction Graham Kehoe is a graduate of the San Diego Golf Academy and Lethbridge College, where he majored in Golf Management, Advanced Methods of Instruction and Club Fitting. Graham apprenticed for one year under the David Leadbetter Golf Schools where he had the opportunity to work with PGA Professionals Brandell Chamblee and LPGA Player Candi Kung, as well as collegiate players from UCLA. Working closely with Adam Schriber, coach for PGA TOUR star Anthony Kim, Graham learned the Leadbetter teaching methods, which can be applied to every level of player.
Working as a Teaching Professional for 15 years, Graham has been successfully teaching at McCleery Golf Academy in Vancouver B.C. for the last 12 years helping develop the Adult and Junior program. Graham's strong belief in community, donating time to such projects as the Inner City Youth and Regional Golf in School programs.
Through clear communication and understanding of golf fundamentals, Graham has worked with and helped golfers of all levels, experience and ages.
Accommodations
Campers will be house 2 per room at the Crystal Lodge in Whistler Village. Breakfast and dinner will be had at the hotel dining facilities while lunch will be taken everyday to the golf course. Campers are fully supervised 24-hours a day. Campers may request roommates.
Camp Specifics
Campers will check-in on Sunday between 1:00 - 3:00 pm. The graduation ceremony will take place on Thursday at noon after the tournament at the Nicklaus North Golf Course clubhouse.
The Overnight fee includes all golf instruction, green fees, evening activities, housing and all meals. The Commuter fee includes all of the above except housing and breakfast. Commuter campers may participate in the evening activities.
Campers arriving to the Vancouver International Airport are to secure their own transportation to and from the airport. The preferred arrival and departure times are from 10:00am - 12:00pm on Sunday and 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday.
